Samsung galaxy note 8: Specification, features and price

Samsung launched its new Samsung galaxy note 8 and believe me it is insanely amazing. It seems Samsung has taken care of everything in order to eradicate the bad memories of note 7 and terrible user experience by loading the successor with as many features and high end hardware as possible. And their hard work can be seen in their new device.

Firstly talking about the appearance of the phone, it looks stunning. Dimensions of the phone are 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 195 gram. Some users might get wrong image of the weight of note 8 but you won’t feel much as the phone is big.

The 6.3 inch nearly bezel less qHD (521ppi) + super AMOLED display is more than enough to give you great viewing experience. The giant display and back of the phone is protected by Corning gorilla glass 5.

Finally Samsung has realized the popularity of dual camera and has installed dual 12 MP cameras with dual OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) at the back and an 8 MP Selfie shooter. Samsung has also added the very popular artificial background blurring feature just as in DSLR and can see blur intensity in real time.

Now moving to the core, the device runs on Android 7.1 and comes with latest octa-core snapdragon 835 processor for US only and Exynos 8895 elsewhere. The note 8 is powered by 6 GB (LPDDR4) RAM and internal storage of 64 GB which can be extended up to 256 GB.

The beast is fueled by Non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging which gives talk-time of 22hours, 74hours of music and 16 hours of video playback.

As usual Samsung has loaded this device with many sensors like Iris sensor, Pressure sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint sensor, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Hall sensor, HR sensor, Proximity sensor and RGB light sensor.

The new note 8 is waterproof (IP68) and dustproof which allows you to work in almost any condition. The new device comes in two model one with single sim and other with a hybrid slot which can be used to put a Nano sim or micro SD card. Bluetooth is 5.0 which let you connect two devices simultaneously, NFC and a type C USB connection.

No doubt the new Samsung galaxy note 8 is a dream phone for many. The phone is available in multiple colour options like Black, Gold, Silver and Blue.

The 256GB variant is priced Rs. 79990.
