Samsung galaxy S8 and S8+: Specifications
Electronic giant Samsung launched its latest Galaxy S8 & S8+ smartphones on Wednesday (29th of March, 2017) and it is surely a perfect phone till date. S8 will be available from April 21st 2017 at a starting price of EUR 799 (Rs. 56,000) and S8+ at EUR 899 (Rs. 63,300).
Samsung has gone big now and you must be thinking that it will cause a bit of trouble using the phone as both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ come in size of 5.8” and 6.2” respectively but believe me folks you guys are wrong.
It is actually smaller than many 5.5 inch display phones available in the market as the new S8 and S8+ have aspect ratio of 18.5:9 which means less bezels and more screen space.
Home button is gone now
Samsung removed the home button and navigation buttons to make more space for display. Samsung has put the Home Button underneath the screen and has also put the navigation controls there too which means all three buttons will be displayed virtually on screen.
Both flagship phones come with Quad HD+ Super AMOLED (2960×1440). Infinity Display: a bezel-less, full-frontal, edge-to-edge screen. But the S8 got more pixels per inch than S8+ i.e. 570ppi (S8) and 529ppi (S8+).
It was expected that Samsung will finally bring dual lens camera but both phones have a 12 MP dual pixel rear camera and an 8 MP front facing camera.
Bixby: A new digital assistant
Samsung also launched a new digital assistant called the Bixby. There is a button on the side of the phone to bring up the assistant anytime. You can use this feature to interact with your device verbally.
RAM and Storage
Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be paired with 4GB of RAM, though China and South Korea are said to get 6GB of RAM variants. Both devices will have a 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 256 GB.
The two smartphones will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC but only for US, other countries will get the phone with the Exynos 8895 processor.
Operating System and battery
The devices will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and carry a 3000 mAh (S8) and 3500 mAh (S8+) battery.

Samsung has brought in a new technology to make the Galaxy S8 one of the most secure phones available in the market. The phone first take scans of a user’s iris which is later can be used as password to unlock the phone. The best part is the iris scanner works in even complete darkness.
All a user has to do is to stare at his device. However, it has still retained the fingerprint scanner at the back and facial recognition to unlock the device faster.
Both smartphones are dust resistant and IP68 Water resistant up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. Samsung has loaded the phones with many sensors:

Samsung DeX: Samsung has launched a new dock that allows the S8 to turn into a PC by connecting to a monitor, mouse and keyboard just like Windows Continuum.
