My lil niece messed up with my laptop recently though nothing serious was done but I noticed one thing that my folders and icons were now showing checkboxes in my Windows 10. Few days back I had green checkmarks on icons and folders (Fixed) and now this. I tried to ignore them but I don’t know why they were very distracting or say it was irritating. I wanted to remove this checkbox from icons and all files as soon as possible. I can select files by pressing the CTRL button and don’t need those ugly checkbox.

- Goto Start and open Control panel.
- Open Folder Options (Win 7) or File Explorer Options (Win 10).
- Now click on the View tab
- Under view tab, uncheck “Use check boxes to select items”.
- Click Apply and then Ok to save the changes.
